Sikkim a tiny Himalayan State cradled in the enclave of inner Eastern Himalaya was once perhaps known to outer world as dark kingdom with its inaccessible rugged hilly terrain and its’ rightfully earned name the valley of death owing to malarian infested warm valleys. Nevertheless the aroma of richness of its’ floral wealth was fairly known to the early naturalists and botanists at that time, some of whom resolved to venture upon the land where devil himself dared not tread.
